Clément Saunier

Clément Saunier began training at the Surgeres music school at age six. He studied the trumpet with Pierre Gillet and Gerard Boulanger before entering the Conservatoire de Paris (CNSMDP), where he studied under Clement Garrec and Jens McManama. He won 1st prize in trumpet and chamber music before continuing on to do a Masters degree. Clement joined the Ensemble intercontemporain in 2013.
His performances at international trumpet concerts have earned him several major prizes in Porcia (Italy), Prague, Jeju (South Korea), Brussels, Paris "Maurice-André"and "Tchaikovsky"in Moscow.
Clement has been invited to give solo performances at major French festivals ("Pablo Casals" in Prades, La Folle Journée de Nantes, Auvers sur Oise, etc.) and international festivals (Columbia, Taiwan, USA, Japan and China). He is a founding member of the Trombamania ensemble and the Brass Band Aeolus, with whom he explores various repertoires for brass instruments on French and international stages. He has made a number of albums, including several 20th century concertos for trumpet and orchestra, released by Cristal Records, Maguelone and Corelia. Clement Saunier teaches at the 13th arrondissement Conservatory in Paris.
